MAASAI MARA & ETHIOPIA 2021

Our second 2021 Clinical Conference will be held early October in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve for safaris to see Africa's Big 5 & also visit a Maasai Mara tribe. We'll also fly onto Ethiopia to visit the Fistula Hospital in Addis Ababa, founded by Catherine Hamlin the Australian obstetrician & gynaecologist

The pre-conference tour will be to the exotic island of Zanzibar, located just off the mainland of East Africa. It's famous for its mix of exotic beaches, famous spice plantations, diverse culture & the World Heritage Site, Stone Town - Zanzibar City’s old quarter

Our post conference tour will be Ethiopia, visiting famous Lalibela (site of the UNESCO World Heritage rock churches); the fascinating tribes in the Omo Valley; Simien Mountains National Park; Gondar known for the walled Fasil Ghebbi fortress & once the seat of Ethiopian emperors and Bahir Dar to visit some of the world's oldest churches & monasteries on Lake Tana - the source of the Blue Nile & the largest lake in Ethiopia

Ethiopia is situated in the Horn of Africa & is split by the Great Rift Valley. With archaeological finds dating back more than 3 million years, it's a place of ancient culture, it's most important - and most famous - site is Lalibela with its rock-cut Christian churches from the 12th-13th centuries.
