Our exclusive post conference tour will visit beautiful Quebec City (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and then cosmopolitan Montreal
THU 26 Depart Toronto & travel east along the St Lawrence River for the majority of the time into Quebec County to stay in pretty Quebec City. We'll stop along the way for sightseeing & lunch in Trois-Rivières. Quebec City is the only fortified city north of Mexico & is known for its European charm & mix of French & British architecture. Our hotel has wonderful views of the old town sites BLD
FRI 27 Our full day walking tour starts with a tour of the Citadelle - a National Historic Site of Canada - where you’ll learn about the history of Old Québec's fortress & venture into the battlements. You’ll also see the Fields of Abraham, walk along Governor’s Promenade & Dufferin Terrace to view Chateau Frontenac before descending to Petit Champlain - one of the oldest streets in Canada. See Umbrella Alley, Place Royale & Quebec City Mural before a lunch break in the Upper Town. The last site of the day will be a visit to Notre Dame Cathedral B
SAT 28 Enjoy a free day to explore more quaint streets, visit the fascinating 17th century monastery & hospital museum founded in 1639 by Augustinian Sisters who worked as healers & nurses in the attached hospital, view the inside of Chateau Frontenac or do some shopping from the myriad of options B
SUN 29 This morning we’ll travel to Montreal & on arrival we’ll have lunch, followed by an orientation tour by bus. We’ll travel along the 11km Sainte-Catherine Street through the central areas of the city & you’ll see the cute townhouses of colourful Plateau Mont-Royal suburb before enjoying a panoramic view of Montreal from Kondiaronk Lookout Terrace. After check-in at the hotel, we’ll walk to the Old Town & dinner is at leisure BL
MON 30 See the sites of Montreal’s Old Town (dating back to the 17th century) on our morning walking tour - Place d'Armes, the Basilica & historic buildings of Rue Notre-Dame, Rue St-Paul, Place Jacques-Cartier & Le Champ de Mars. The afternoon is free for lunch & visiting areas like the Old Port, shop in nearby Bonsecours Market or the big malls in Sainte-Catherine St or explore Montreal's Underground City, a subterranean pedestrian network
that spans 20 miles of tunnels. Tonight’s farewell dinner will be held in the Old Town BD
TUE 01 Depending on your flight time, enjoy a leisurely morning strolling the old town or relaxing in the hotel’s 2.5 acres of gardens before travelling OCT to the airport. We can organise your airport transfers B
